are marketed through five marketing divisions.
Plasma & Pharma Division
This Division accounts for large
majority of our sales in India and markets products
ranging from plasma derivatives, and equine anti-toxins.
This division covers gynecologists, casualty medical
officers, orthopedicians, surgeons etc.
This Division is primarily responsible
for sales in India of Intravenous Immune Serum Globulin
(Gamma I.V.) and Amphotericin B Lipid Complex (Ampholip),
the leading antifungal drug with BSV's patentable delivery
technology. This division primarily targets neuro psychiatrists,
oncologists, nephrology physicians, anti--fungal and
other specialist doctors.
In view of the rapid expansion of
health delivery services in India, BSV has set-up a
Division to exclusively cater to this institutional
market segment. Dealing in anesthetics and cardio-vascular
products, this Division primarily caters to the requirements
of hospitals and institutions and has an exclusive team
of over 50 sales professionals.
International Business Division
BSV's drive for globalization is
guided by a well-planned strategy. Currently, the Company
has a basket of internationally accepted products, which
have strengthened its position in the international
arena. The focus today is on the markets of Africa,
CIS countries, South and Central America and the Middle
East. The Company plans to explore the highly developed
markets of with Europe and USA in the coming years.
The Company's modern Injectibles
Plant at Ambernath, will enable the Company to tap the
highly profitable markets of Western Europe. BSV has
also registered various products in several countries
and has established an effective distribution set-up.
BSV has appointed distributors in over 30 countries
for various products. BSV is in discussions with pharma
majors for global distribution of its products.
In a global environment of competition
and challenges, the International Business Division
continues to achieve newer heights. The business is
expected to contribute substantially to the sales of
the Company in the coming years.
