NEW DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

We have developed and commercialized innovative products through cutting edge research for over five decades.

Our team of engineers and scientists have taken up pioneering work. While our scientists are tasked with new product development, our team of industrial scientists use applied research in scientific or technological fields. All in a bid to facilitate future product development.

In our continued efforts to deliver affordable medicines with improved efficacy and minimal side effects, the use of deep science has led us to a paradigm shift in the pharmaceutical market.

NEW DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS

From proof of concept to successful commercialization, we develop products across various drug delivery systems like liposomes, lipid complexes, emulsions, microspheres, implants and solid oral. This has set us apart globally. We have taken the path of novelty in the domain of NDDS and our commitment to deliver the best has yielded great results. Our breakthrough technologies have indeed improved the way several molecules are delivered. This division is supported by a talented Analytical & Microbiology team.

CAPABILITIES

Developing knowledge based and patient friendly technologies has been a priority for the NDDS division. We focus on complex generic and innovative specialty pharmaceutical / bio-pharmaceutical products mainly in injectable and other difficult to formulate dosage forms like ophthalmic, topical creams & solid orals.

Our division has a broad portfolio of products developed with non-infringing patentable technologies with formulations that include lyophilized products, micro emulsions, pegylated & non-pegylated liposomes, micelles, lipid complexes, topical gels, ophthalmic micro emulsion, biodegradable polymer-based depot injections and implants. Our pipeline includes critical molecules with solubility and stability challenges as well as difficult to formulate and characterize polypeptides.

INFRASTRUCTURE

We have a comprehensive infrastructure for the development of products at our state-of-the-art R&D facilities located in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. It enables us to handle potent molecules as well as conduct stability testing as per ICH and cGMP guidelines.

NDDS department of BSV is equipped with specialized equipment for developing complex injectable.

  1. High pressure homogenizer
  2. High speed emulsifiers
  3. Lyophiliser
  4. Spray dryer
  5. Supercritical Fluid extractor (SAS technology)
  6. Extruders
